Description

250 million years in the future.

Here's our replacements.

Hey, humanity, say hello to your hypothetical little brother, the Nautiloids. It's pretty obvious where these guys descended from. No, not from you and me.

Their name, Nautiloid, just somehow got stuck in my head after reading about cephalopod morphology and biology and saw the word. Well, that's a fine and dandy name, I'd say. Although, they're not descended from the chambered Nautiluses either. What? I thought it would be obvious! Oh, and by the way; they call themselves the Auio.

In my teaser (yeah, the boring writing I've made. Hahaha! Yes, I suck at writing, horribly), the Nautiloids discovered the remains of a human newsteller with robotic prosthetics.

To them, the discovery of humans revealed that, in contrary to their common belief, THEY were the first intelligent species on planet Earth, which they call Oenga. This, of course, made quite a controversy in their soceity because first of all, we humans did not ride stars nor called ourselves after the greeting "Good evening."

But, hey! That's what they thought we said! Their language is mostly nasal, wherein sounds are formed by contracting the muscles in their nostrils. With that in mind, their words mostly consist of what's analogous to our vowels and nasal sounds like "ng" or "m."

Oh god, I assume reptiles are long dead, yes?

Except in the global desert.
